“This is an image depicting not only war and suffering, but also beauty and respect in our society. The work shows what is happening in the world today and helps people understand that there should be peace in our world, not a ‘troubled society’.
Images used in this work are doves to show peace is beautiful; children trapped behind barbed wire to show that there is suffering in some countries; Africans holding up signs to show everyone should come together and create world peace between different cultures; soldiers marching on and getting ready for war; and the image of the world to show that this is our place.
The colours are dark and also bright to represent war and peace.”
