“I am an artist and a musician, so when I was given a box of very old sheet music that was beginning to fall apart, I decided to use it for painting. When I adhere the music to a backing board, it is preserved in a way and being reused or recycled. I wanted the painting to show our connection to each other and nature. That connection is shown through love for each other and our world. We also have so many feelings, pastimes and needs in common, that language, politics, and differing religious ideas really should not be an issue if we can love each other for who we are and learn to live together as ‘family’”.
