We did a hooked rug fiber art piece. First we hooked the PEACE rug...then each child sewed a little pocket by hand...then they each wrote a message of peace to put in the pocket...I tied a piece of ribbon on the top so each message could be retrieved and read ...about 60 messages...some poems, some with drawings...some so moving you wanted to cry!  Anyway it was a really great project and they all felt so good about participating.
